TRIP OVERVIEW

The Manaslu Circuit Trek offers a thrilling journey around the majestic Mt. Manaslu, the “Mountain of the Spirit.” This lesser-known trail winds through remote villages, rich forests, and high mountain passes, offering a raw and authentic trekking experience.

Starting in the low-altitude hills of Soti Khola, the trail gradually climbs through terraced farmlands, rhododendron forests, and river gorges, eventually reaching alpine terrain. You’ll pass through culturally rich settlements such as Namrung, Samagaun, and Samdo, where the Tibetan influence is strong, and ancient monasteries and chortens dot the landscape.

The ultimate challenge—and reward—is the ascent and crossing of Larkya La Pass (5,160m), which offers jaw-dropping panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. After the pass, the trail descends toward Dharapani, connecting with the Annapurna Circuit trail.

Why Choose Manaslu Circuit Trek?

  • Off-the-beaten-path alternative to the Annapurna and Everest regions.
  • Unique cultural immersion in Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
  • Eco-diverse trail inside the Manaslu Conservation Area.
  • Adventurous crossing of one of the longest Himalayan passes.
  • Ideal for trekkers seeking solitude, nature, and high-altitude adventure.
