The trail begins from Budhanilkantha, home to the famous reclining Vishnu statue, and winds through lush forests up to Nagi Gompa—a serene monastery run by nuns. If you’re up for a bit more adventure, you can continue hiking to Shivapuri Peak (2,732m), the second-highest hill around the Kathmandu Valley. The reward? Epic views of the Himalayas and a sense of peaceful accomplishment.
